2 |
Hiking
to Montokuc and Polace
- After breakfast, starts morning hike. Walking along the lakes
and up to Montokuc hilltop, the highest peak in the National
Park affords a breathtaking view of Mljet Lakes and islet of
St Mary.
- After short break, the path leads to ancient port of Polace.
Sheltered by tiny islets, Polace is home to early Christian
Basilica and Old Roman palace dating from 2nd century. An hour
walk back to the hotel. |

Biking
in the National Park and Boat Ride to St. Mary’s islet
- Moderate bike ride through village of Govedjari, easy ride
to village of Pristaniste. From Pristaniste to fishing village
of Soline is easy ride along the famous Mljet lakes. Pathway
covered with pine forest leads to Little Bridge, narrow sea
passage that connects two lakes.
- Boat ride to the islet of St. Mary to visit its magnificent
Benedictine monastery founded here in the 12th century, built
on the foundation of fortified structure dating more than 2,000
years ago. This secluded monastery was home and inspiration
to many famous Benedictine writers and scientists. |

Odysseus
Cave and Village Babino Polje
- Morning departure by boat, 2 hours ride along southern Mljet
coastline to Odysseus cave. Ancient Greek poet, Homer, writes
about this location in his most famous work – Odyssey.
Uphill path passes near thousand years old olive groves. Visit
to church of St. Vlaho along the way.
- Olive oil production is centuries old tradition on island
of Mljet. Visit to 200 years old olive oil mill is followed
by lunch prepared in authentic village tavern.
- After lunch minibus ride to coastline walking trail which
leads via Soline village back to hotel |

5 |
Dubrovnik
- is renowned as the impeccably medieval city in Croatia. With
its magnificent stone walls, churches, palaces and plazas,
it is architecturally a living monument to the days when
it was an affluent merchant state
- morning departure from hotel, return in the afternoon hours |
Day
6 |
Korita
Village and Picnic on Limuni Sandy Beach
- Minibus transfer to village Korita – visit to church
of Our Lady of the Hill from 15th century and St. Vitus church.
Drive to village of Saplunara and its beach, followed by an
easy walk to secluded sandy beach Limuni, for swim and picnic
lunch…
- Return to hotel |

7 |
National
Park Coastline Hiking Tour
- Starting in Pomena, the trail leads over the hilltops separating
Mljet lakes and open sea. Along the path, surprising birds
eye view of limestone cliffs above blue sea, hidden bays and
coastline covered by thick forests.
- Return to hotel
- Farewell dinner |

Departure
- Breakfast followed by departure transfer from Hotel Odisej
to Dubrovnik Airport. |
We recommend you to take:
Comfortable footwear, backpack, swimsuit, bottle of water,
sun glasses, sun hat and sun block/cream. During
some days a light wind jacket as well.
About seasons:
The most pleasant period for walking is April, May, September
and October. In July and August due to high temperatures
you may spend more time in the sea than on the path, however
the sea is never far away.
